We are looking for a Finance Graduate to join our Mainland Europe business unit, with the role based out of our Headquarters in Sunderland, UK. Mainland Europe (ME) has strong growth potential and opportunity and to enable this growth agenda, ME is undergoing a major transformation and it has identified 9 markets that it considers core to the sustainability of a future business model, with the remaining markets currently undergoing divestiture. The core Mainland Europe businesses have combined revenues of approximately €1bn and employing over 12,000 colleagues. Reporting to Finance Manager, the role will be responsible for the efficient collation and presentation of financial information from across the division.
Arriva will support the successful candidate through a Level 7 Accountancy and Taxation Professional Apprenticeship which is equivalent to a Master's Degree. As part of the apprenticeship, modules can be taken on Leadership, Continuous Improvement, Problem Solving as well as the core modules to complete a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA). Arriva will cover all costs of the course and examinations over the three-year period with periodic salary reviews on completion of course stages.
Duties of the role include but are not limited to:
- Collation of financial information and Key Performance Indicators, including the planning, preparation and completion of Excel templates to capture financial and non-financial data.
- Preparation of presentations for review by senior management.
- Use of ERP, HRIS and BI systems to analyse and report business information.
- Support colleagues across the division with business reporting requirements.
- Undertake ad-hoc project work and provide administrative support when required.
